New requirements: Registration By Private Landlords

The law of land ownership in Scotland is undergoing fundamental change. This has been an area of great activity for the new Scottish Parliament. Much new legislation is in the process of being introduced. We have Fact Sheets on this important subject, prepared by Duncan Thomson:

'Abolition of Feudal Tenure (Scotland) Act 2000’ gives a detailed analysis of this specific Act and explains the main areas where landowners may require to take action before 28th November 2004.

'Title Conditions in Scots Law’, provides a brief outline of the Scots Law relating to title burdens and other conditions of title after 28th November 2004 when the Title Conditions (Scotland) Act 2003 and the Abolition of Feudal Tenure Etc. (Scotland) Act 2000 come into force.

'Introduction to the Community Right to Buy’, is aimed at anyone who is considering setting up a Community Body to register an interest in land.
