Senior Partner since 1996, Colin Liddell qualified as a solicitor in 1979, having been educated at Cargilfield School and Fettes College in Edinburgh and having taken law degrees at both Oxford and Edinburgh Universities.
Whilst providing a general legal service, Colin concentrates upon charities (national, regional and local), community groups, investment management, agricultural law and estate factoring. Colin is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Charity Law.
Author of Pitlochry: Heritage of a Highland District (a book of 160 pages which has currently sold out but a third edition is planned), Colin is a third generation partner in the firm (following on from grandfather Buckham Liddell and father Donald, as well as uncle Hamish) and has a deep interest in the welfare of Highland Perthshire.
Colin was Founder Chairman of the Pitlochry & District Tourism Management Programme and the Pitlochry Civic Trust, and is now Chairman of Pitlochry Area Initiative. He is a Trustee of the Maritime Rescue Institute, Pitlochry Festival Theatre and the Scottish Community Foundation (amongst others). Colin is commentator at the Pitlochry Highland Games and (and Oban Highland Games!) and is Patron of the Moulin and Pitlochry History Circle. He enjoys skiing, sailing and walking the hills.
